When we visit a restaurant alone, we are faced with the dilemma…what to order and how much. Whatever we order, even if only one dish, a lot of food is wasted because the quantity is too much for one person to consume. To avoid such criminal wastage I have been suggesting all sorts of eateries to offer “half plate” of the dishes on their menu. For this half (50%) plate they can charge…. say 60%, and earn extra 10% in the process. It’s a win- win solution for all……..the customer pays for what he really consumes, the eatery earns additional 10%, and national wastage is avoided. So my friends, please recommend this to the decision makers in all the eating joints you visit and do circulate this thought widely.
